Marini’s on 57 is the highest rooftop bar in KL located on the—you guessed it—57th floor in Menara 3 Petronas. It is a fine dining restaurant that serves exquisite Italian cuisines with an adjoining lounge and bar. The classy floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer an amazing view of the city, and paired with a luxurious candlelit dinner, it’s the perfect date night out.

There’s a direct view of the Petronas Twin Towers on the open-roof area where the bar is. If you want a group picture, the waiters are surprisingly proficient, skilfully balancing one phone for the flashlight and the other to capture the moment.

Another rooftop bar and lounge with spectacular night views would be Held Lounge Bar. The helipad rooftop bar located on the 36th floor of Menara KH offers a 360° view of the beautiful city skyline.

Take in unobstructed views of the iconic KL Tower, Petronas Twin Towers and many more while you sip on delicious cocktails (well, you’re required to buy a drink to go up anyway).

3. Dinner in the Sky

Strap in for an evening of fine dining in the sky (quite literally) as you are lifted 50 metres off the ground, definitely a step-up from the rooftop bars. The panoramic night views are unimaginable from up there, as well as the views of your dangling feet.

4. Bukit Tabur

If you are more of an adventurous person as opposed to the wine and dine type, Bukit Tabur is great place for night hikes. From the peak of the hills, you can see the lovely night views of KL and even the vibrant lights from Genting Highlands. When the mist rolls in, it feels like you’re standing in the clouds far above the tiny specks below.

5. Dataran Merdeka

If you’re a history fanatic and/or don’t have the money to splurge on expensive rooftop bars, head on over to Merdeka Square for a breezy stroll around the recreational park with scenic night views. The vicinity is beautifully well-lit at night, with multiple historical buildings close by such as Royal Selangor Club Complex, the Old KL Train Station and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.

6. Luna Bar

Luna Bar is the perfect place for a little harmless partying and remarkable KL night views. Situated on the rooftop of Pacific Regency Hotel and only a 2-minute walk from KL Tower, this nightclub has a pool where you can chill out with your friends, smoke and drink to your hearts’ content.

Catch sight of the towering skyscrapers in all its glory as you cannonball into the water!
