What’s unique about this waterfall is that if you visit at the right time, which is somewhere between 9am to 10am, you’ll be able to witness the sunlight and water forming a rainbow among the mists.

It is a 45-minute hike to get to the waterfall from the base camp, but the enchanting view is worth it.

2. Kanching Rainforest Waterfall

Kanching Rainforest Waterfall is truly a sight to behold, with its water streams cascading down seven levels at an approximate height of 120 metres. Only 30km north of Kuala Lumpur, the waterfall has accessible footpaths and trails that take you to each level, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views and clear waters.

It is a popular place for picnics, swimming, camping, photography and even wedding solemnisations!

Many visitors hike up the rocky cascades to witness the sunrise from the vantage point at the top of the waterfall, which makes you feel like you’re standing at the edge of the earth. Here, you may even spot the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia.

Another magnificent waterfall in Selangor is Sungai Chiling Waterfalls, perfect for those with a sense of adventure. It is located in Sungai Chiling Fish Sanctuary reserve, with a small entrance fee of RM1 per person.

Ditch the expensive shoes, because your feet are about to be real wet! To get to the waterfall, you have to trek for an hour and wade through the Chiling River crossings six times. Surrounded by dense flora and fauna, you might also see swarms of butterflies gathering around the river banks.

5. Ulu Chepor Waterfall

There are a number of amenities in the vicinity, including a campsite, multi-purpose hall, prayer hall, restrooms, gazebos perfect for picnicking and stalls where you can get food and drinks.

Chill in the private enclaves of the waterfall and dip your toes into the cool, pristine water!
