History of Ying Ker Lou
Many Hakka-owned businesses are kept within the family, and Ying Ker Lou is no exception to this tradition. The restaurant was established in March 2006 by general manager Albert Wee, who is Huizhou Hakka. His family has over 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, starting with a little coffee shop stall. Now, the modern Hakka restaurant chain is managed by him and his wife.
The Wee family has been selling a variety of local delicacies for decades, including their signature Teochew porridge and fish head curry. With rich experience in this cuisine, Wee decided to bring their roots to the public and allow everyone to enjoy quality Hakka food.
