Origin of Maggi Goreng
Maggi Goreng is a Malaysia-based dish and made famous by Mamak restaurants. Typically, one would cook a packet of instant noodles by boiling water and adding the noodles and flavour sachet.
With this dish, the noodles are boiled first before they are cooked in a hot wok with a medley of stir-fried vegetables, tofu and eggs before adding in the flavour sachet. There is no one way to prepare a plate of Maggi goreng, so you’ll be able to see variations of this dish all across Malaysia.
